An Overview of My Practice at the Law Office of Christine M. Naper
If you are unable to work because of an injury or illness, you may qualify for Social Security disability insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits. The process for recovering benefits can be long and complicated, however, and many initial claims are denied. You want an experienced attorney to guide you through the process, one who understands the law and the process, and who has helped others in similar circumstances.
At the law office of Christine M. Naper, I bring over 30 years of experience to people throughout Cook County and the surrounding Chicago metro area who have SSDI or SSI claims. As former Chair of the Chicago Bar Association's Social Security Committee, I have a comprehensive understanding of the laws governing disability claims. I also recognize that, for many, the recovery of SSDI or SSI benefits is often the only way to pay the bills and meet basic needs. I will work closely with you throughout the appeals process, whether you need to request a reconsideration of a denial or are ready to file a civil action in federal court.

My Social Security/Disability Practice
If you are unable to work because of a disability, you have paid into the Social Security system for the required length of time, and your illness or injury will prevent you from working for at least 12 months, I can help you recover SSDI benefits to cover your loss of income.
Though you don't need an attorney to file your application, I can help you throughout the process, including assisting you with gathering and presenting medical evidence to support your claim. I handle all types of appeals related to SSDI claims, from requests for reconsideration to hearings with administrative law judges. To learn more, see my page on Social Security Disability Insurance claims.
My SSI (Supplemental Security Income) Practice
Even if you don't qualify for SSDI benefits, you may still be eligible for compensation under the Supplemental Security Income program, which provides benefits to disabled or blind adults or children based on financial need. I will help you gather and submit the necessary medical and financial information. I will also represent you at any stage of the process, from the preparation of an application to an appeal. For additional information, see my page on SSI claims.
